Summer Carnival comes to Plaza Santa Catalina

In the province of Cádiz, Carnival is much more than a party: it’s a deeply rooted tradition known for its witty songs, humour and live performances by local groups called chirigotas and comparsas. Every year, thousands of people attend the famous Cádiz Carnival, and this week visitors in Conil can enjoy a taste of that unique atmosphere.

Until Thursday, Plaza Santa Catalina hosts the Summer Carnival, bringing the music, humour and spirit of Cádiz Carnival to the heart of Conil.

Every evening from 10:00 pm, local carnival groups perform live in a free open-air event, creating a fun and authentic atmosphere for both locals and visitors.
