Conil Fair 2026: Andalusian Tradition, Flamenco and Festive Atmosphere

From 4 to 8 September 2026, Conil de la Frontera will celebrate its Feria in honour of Nuestra Señora de las Virtudes, one of the most anticipated celebrations of the year.

For five days, Conil takes on a completely different atmosphere, with music, fairground attractions, casetas, traditional flamenco dresses and gatherings with family and friends.

And there is something particularly special about experiencing an Andalusian feria in Conil: all this traditional atmosphere takes place just a few minutes from the Atlantic Ocean.

A traditional Andalusian feria

The Feria of Conil is dedicated to Nuestra Señora de las Virtudes, the patron saint of Conil, and combines religious traditions with the lively atmosphere of a typical Andalusian feria.

The fairground becomes the centre of the celebrations, with casetas, music and activities for all ages.

It is also a great opportunity to experience a more local side of Conil beyond its beaches and summer nightlife.

The Feria is recognised as a Fiesta de Interés Turístico de Andalucía, reflecting its cultural and traditional importance.

When is the Conil Fair 2026?

The 2026 Feria will take place:

📅 From Friday 4 to Tuesday 8 September 2026

The celebrations begin on Thursday 4 September with the special lighting ceremony and the VII Gala recognising people from Conil for their contributions to the local community.

Sunday 6 September will feature a new special day dedicated to senior citizens, including a communal lunch and entertainment at the municipal caseta.

8 September: the Patron Saint’s Day

Tuesday 8 September is the main religious day of the celebrations.

During the morning there will be Mass, a traditional ceremony and a floral offering to Nuestra Señora de las Virtudes.

In the evening, at 9:00 pm, the statue of the patron saint will be carried through the streets of Conil in one of the most traditional moments of the celebrations.

The festivities then continue at the fairground with live entertainment until the official closing.

A family-friendly feria

The Conil Fair is designed for all ages.

Families with children can enjoy the fairground attractions, while 2026 also includes an initiative aimed at making the feria more accessible.

Every day, between 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm, the fairground attractions will operate without music, allowing children with autism spectrum disorder to enjoy the rides with fewer sensory stimuli.

A special transport service to the fairground will also operate during the festivities.

What if you’re staying in Conil?

The Feria is a perfect opportunity to combine two very different sides of Conil.

During the day, you can enjoy the beaches, explore the historic centre, have lunch featuring local seafood or almadraba tuna, or discover some of the beautiful coves along the coast.

Then, as evening arrives, the atmosphere changes completely: lights, music, flamenco dresses and the unmistakable atmosphere of an Andalusian feria.

September is also one of our favourite times of the year to visit Conil. Summer is still very much alive, but temperatures are generally more comfortable and the town begins to return to a more relaxed pace.

Tips for enjoying the Conil Fair

If you are visiting Conil during the Feria, we recommend:

  • Head to the fairground in the early evening, when the atmosphere starts to build.
  • Book your accommodation in advance, especially if you want to stay in the historic centre.
  • Combine the Feria with a morning at the beach.
  • Explore Conil’s old town before heading to the fairground.
  • Check the official programme before attending, as performance times may change.
  • If you are travelling with children, remember the 8:00–10:00 pm quiet period for the attractions.

Feria and beach: a perfect combination

One of the best things about the Feria of Conil is its setting.

You can spend the morning on an Atlantic beach, enjoy some local almadraba tuna for lunch, wander through the white streets of the historic centre and finish the day experiencing a genuine Andalusian feria.

If you are planning a visit to Conil in September, the Feria in honour of Nuestra Señora de las Virtudes is an experience well worth adding to your trip.
